Maspalomas Dunes

The Maspalomas Dunes are sand dunes located on the south coast of the island of Gran Canaria, Province of Las Palmas, in the Canary Islands. A 404-hectare area of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, they have been protected as a nature reserve since 1987.

This little desert is the best place to enjoy of nature and also relaxing at it's suface, where it's sand majesty becomes a fantastic experience for visiting.

Likewise, the Maspalomas climate with 23,5 ºC annual weather averages favors the possibility of making tourism the whole year and delighting with numerous sunny days. Also, the ecological interest and particularity of these dunes is that were formed by sand washed up from the bottom of the ocean during the last ice age.
